Our Housing...

Trenton Families In Transition acquires, and if necessary rehabilitates, and furnishes suitable dwellings in the city of Trenton. FIT holds title to the dwellings and, when appropriate, collects rent based on family income.

Currently, two inner-city homes in Trenton provide residences for our transitional families. Both homes have ample rooms and space to house families with children. They are maintained in good condition and routinely inspected by members of our organization to prevent or correct structural or living problems.

Additionally, these homes are situated in environments that do not separate families from realistic neighborhoods and encourages healthy, interpersonal relationships to develop within a community.

Living in homes central to the city allows the family to integrate back into the community using the major employment and transportation network.
