in Transition: Our Profile
Families
In Transition, Inc. (FIT), is a registered 501(c)(3)
non-for-profit corporation created to help in-need families in the
Trenton/Mercer County, New Jersey area. FIT’s main goal is to
save intact
families whose stability is threatened by current or impending
homelessness or
whose present accommodations are otherwise unsuitable.
FIT “temporarily”* places such
families in
housing acquired by FIT for the purpose, and then works to get them
back on their
feet and into permanent housing.
Families
in Transition,
Inc. is dedicated to providing transitional housing and developmental
services
to allow families to transition from homelessness to self-sufficiency.
