in Transition: Our Services
HOUSE #1:
This is the house on Beatty Street in Trenton. It has about 1400 square
feet of living space with two and half bedrooms, one bath and full
living room, dining room, kitchen, mud room and an unfinished basement.
This house can can be used by a family of five or six. The
home
has easy access to the Trenton bus lines and the River Line, light rail
system.
HOUSE #2:
This is the house on Pearl Street in Trenton. This is the larger of the
two homes and has four bedrooms and one bath on the second floor. The
main floor is large with a living room, kitchen and mud room. The home
has a large unfinished basement and an attic. This home also has easy
access to the Trenton Bus Line and the River Line light rail system.
CASE
WORKER: Our caseworker is Bruce Wadzeck.
He has been the Minister of the Princeton Church of
Christ since 1988. He is a trained counselor with
many years of experience counseling a variety of
people. He has worked with FIT families since our
first home. He hosts a weekly radio broadcast on NJ public radio ,
Transitiions,
where he explorers various topics relatied life's changes while
interviewing individuals active in those aspects of helping people work
through these changes.
Each week Mr. Wadzeck visits our families and counsels them on their
finances, on job skills and retraining and educational needs, and helps
them identify and acquire the state and federal resources available to
help them put their lives back together and "transition" their family
out of despair and back onto the road of self-reliance.
TRUSTEES:
Our Board is composed of six Trustees. Five Trustees are from
the Princeton Church of Christ and one Trustee is from the community at
large.
- Andy Pratt, President, has been
involved with FIT for several years.
- Loisann Griglak, Secretary, has
been a member of the
FIT Board and its archivist since 2006. She is a certified professional
librarian in the state of New Jersey. She has a Master of Library and
Information Sciences (MLIS) degree from Rutgers University. She
currently works with the Monmouth County Historical Association and has
served on the Board of Trustees of the NJ Outdoor Women's League.
- Michael Schaefer, Treasurer, has
been involved with
FIT for only about a year. He holds an bachelors degree in accounting
from the University of Florida. He has worked with nonprofit
corporations in several capacities, currently serving as Director of
Volunteers for Mobile Meals of Trenton and Ewing. He is also the
Treasurer of the Princeton Church of Christ and resides in Princeton
Junction.
- Danny Rich is one of the newest
members of the Board
of Trustees. He lives in Hamilton Townhsip. He holds a doctorate in
optical physics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and works as an
industrial scientist in north Jersey. He has served on the Boards and
been an officer of several nonprofit technical associations.
- Karen House has been involved with
FIT since its formation.
